- 1. Mix 3–5 drops of Part A (Sodium Chlorite) and Part B (Citric Acid) in a shot glass or small non-metal container.
- 2. Wait 30 seconds for the Chlorine Dioxide to activate.
- 3. Add the activated solution to 1 gallon of water.
- 4. For less than 1 gallon, use 2 drops of each. For more than 1 gallon, use an additional 3–5 drops per gallon.
- 5. Let the treated water sit for 30–60 minutes before drinking.

Part A: 28% Sodium Chlorite Solution
Part B: Acid Activator (either 4% Hydrochloric Acid or 50% Citric Acid, depending on your purchase)
Both activators produce the same result: Chlorine Dioxide. HCl activates faster with a milder taste. Citric Acid is the traditional activator and produces a deeper amber color. Both are equally effective for water purification.
- In a clean, dry glass or plastic container (never metal), add your drops of Part A.
- Add an equal number of drops of Part B to the same container.
- Gently swirl for a few seconds.
- Let it activate for 30 to 60 seconds. The solution will turn amber yellow, confirming Chlorine Dioxide has formed.
- Add the activated solution to your water and stir gently.

Always use equal drops of Part A and Part B. A pale yellow at lower drop counts is normal. The more drops you activate, the deeper the color.
Keep both bottles in a cool, dark place. A pantry or refrigerator is ideal. Avoid sunlight and heat. Do not freeze. For long term storage, use the original screw caps without droppers to minimize air exposure.
