Chlorine Dioxide 2oz Water Treatment Kit (Plastic Bottles W/ 50% Citric Acid Activator)
Two 2oz plastic bottles that fit in one hand. Camping, hiking, travel, or the shelf where you keep your stored water: the kit goes where you go.
- Part A: Sodium Chlorite (28%)
- Part B: Citric Acid (50%)
- Size: 2oz bottles (dropper included)
When mixed one-to-one, Sodium Chlorite and Citric Acid release Chlorine Dioxide, the water treatment chemical public water plants have used for decades. It is not a filter: it does not remove lead, metals, salt, or fuel. For those you need a filter or a different source.
Lightweight • Plastic Bottles • Made In The USA
We recommend 5 drops from each bottle per gallon: gently swirl and wait 1 minute, add to the gallon and mix well.
- In a clean glass or plastic cup, never metal, add 5 drops of Part A.
- Add 5 drops of Part B.
- Gently swirl and wait 1 minute. The mix turns amber. That is the chlorine dioxide forming.
- Add it to 1 gallon of water and mix well.
Same 5 and 5 for every gallon.
- Made for emergency kits
- Plastic bottles that travel well
- Packed by campers and hikers
- One number to remember
- Small and portable
Part A (Sodium Chlorite) and Part B (Citric Acid) must be mixed together in a separate cup before they go in the water. Never add either bottle to water on its own. Always wait 1 minute after mixing.
Your kit includes two bottles that work together to release Chlorine Dioxide (ClO2), the water treatment chemical public water plants have used for decades.
Part A: 28% Sodium Chlorite Solution
Part B: Acid Activator (either 4% Hydrochloric Acid or 50% Citric Acid, depending on your purchase)
Both activators make the same chlorine dioxide. Citric turns a deeper amber and is the easy default. Hydrochloric acid activates faster and keeps longer on the shelf.
| Water Amount | Part A Drops | Part B Drops |
|---|---|---|
| 1 US Gallon | 5 | 5 |
Same 5 and 5 for every gallon. Always use equal drops of Part A and Part B.
Keep both bottles in a cool, dark place. A pantry works. Keep away from sunlight and heat. Do not freeze. For long storage, use the screw caps, not the droppers, so less air gets in.
- Always use glass or plastic cups. Never metal.
- It is not a filter: it does not remove lead, metals, salt, or fuel. For those you need a filter or a different source.
- Muddy water: pour it through a clean cloth first, then treat it.
- If the mix does not turn amber, the bottle has lost strength. Contact us and we will make it right.
At home, on the road, at camp, or getting ready for storm season: one small kit and one number to remember. Simple and portable.
